Key Stages 3 & 4 (ages 10 – 15)

Specialist Sixth Form

(ages 16+)

The Jam Creative School welcomes applications from new students to join us at any point in the school year.

We do not ask for students to take any formal assessments or take any kind of entrance exams.  Instead we take time to talk to prospective students and their parents and allow for students to attend trial days at the school.

Our admissions process has two aims:

  1. To allow the prospective student an opportunity to discover if our school environment fits their needs, and will spark excitement in learning.
  2. For us to assess in an informal none pressured way, whether our school can meet the needs of the individual student and give them the very best opportunity to grow as a learner.

On accepting the offer of a place we require a £500 deposit, which is refundable at the end of the student's final term at the jam creative school.

Applications for entry are accepted throughout the year with auditions/interviews taking place in March, April and July.  All students will start in September and will usually complete a 2-year qualification, unless the student is applying as a Foundation Student.

All students will attend a formal audition/interview, however the emphasis during this process is to establish the career aspirations of the prospective student and how The Jam Academy can help them to achieve these goals.

Our admissions process has two aims:

  1. To allow the prospective student an opportunity to discover if our environment and training fits their needs in order for them to achieve their aspirations for higher education and/or employment.
  2. For us to assess what is required for the prospective student to realistically achieve their aspirations and assess if The Jam Academy are able to support and equip the student to achieve their goals.

If you are new to Jam's training, we strongly suggest that you check out the 'What's On' section of the Jam Theatre website or the Events page on this site and come to see our students perform!  You can only judge the quality of our training by seeing our current students at work.

On accepting the offer of a place we require a £500 deposit, which is refundable at the end of the student's final term at The Jam Academy.
